In 2007 the Ministry of Economy, Labour and Entrepreneurship of the Republic of Croatia took an initiative to establish structured co-operation amongst the countries of South Eastern Europe on lifelong entrepreneurial learning. In October 2008, governments of the region, with Turkey, agreed on the establishment the South East European Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning (SEECEL), with the Republic of Croatia as the host country. Eight countries came together for the purposes of co-working developments in entrepreneurial learning. These countries are as follows: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo (under UNSCR 1244/99), Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia and Turkey. The SEECEL Steering Committee had its first meeting and unanimously approved a three-year strategy and work programme on 28 October 2009. |
