A new report released on the 6 November 2013 by the Brussels-based pro-transparency network, Alter-EU campaigns on the issue of the membership of Expert Groups set up by the European Commission to assist it in its policy making role.

The Alter-EU report argues that the Commission is putting big business in charge of its advisory groups despite promising MEPs reform over a year earlier after they froze groups' budgets.
