Communication on ‘an aviation strategy for Europe’

Summary:

The European Commission adopted on 7 December 2015 its Aviation Strategy for Europe, aiming to strengthen the competitiveness and sustainability of the entire EU air transport value network.

The European Parliament produced its own report in response to this Strategy. The plenary session held a discussion on it in February 2017.

The Strategy was seen as needed to ensure that the EU's aviation sector remains competitive and reaps the benefits of a fast-changing and developing global economy.
