Communication: A Europe that protects: Clean air for all

Summary:

The European Commission released on 17 May 2018 a Communication setting out further measures to improve the air quality across the European Union. This document was released as the Commission also stepped up enforcement procedures relating to several Member States on these matters.

This Communication sets out wide-ranging policy efforts of the EU to support and facilitate the necessary measures of the Member States to meet their targets on air quality, and the enforcement action being taken to help ensure that the common objective of clean air for all Europeans is achieved and maintained across the EU.

This Communication was published in the framework of the European Commission's Third Mobility Package, a set of initiatives released on the same day.
