China solar panel duties imposed by EU

On the 4 June 2013 the European Commission announced it was imposing temporary anti-dumping levies on Chinese solar panel imports. the move came despite opposition from Germany and other EU member states, and amid fears it could spark a trade war. The European Commission argued that Chinese firms were unfairly undercutting rivals.
