Report of comments by Terry Scuoler, the head of the UK manufacturing trade body EEF on the 3 July 2014. He warned that that Britain would lose billions of pounds of trading opportunities if it left the European Union. Mr Scuoler has become Chair of the Board of the Council of European Employers of the Metal, Engineering and Technology-Based Industries (CEEMET). CEEMET is the European employers' organisation representing the interests of the metal, engineering and technology-based industries. Its members are national employers' organisations and federations, representing 200,000 member companies across Europe. The vast majority of them are SMEs, directly providing some 13 million jobs. |
