Cameron risks losing UK seat to anti-EU UKIP / UKIP wins second seat in Westminster

Preview and reports of the by-election in the constituency of Rochester and Strood in the United Kingdom on the 20 November 2014, caused by the the constituency's Conservative member of parliament Mark Reckless resigning in September 2014 after defecting to UKIP.

As widely predicted by polls Mark Reckless won the Rochester and Strood by-election for UKIP.

UKIP, which wants strict quotas placed on immigration to the United Kingdom and wants to take Britain out of the European Union, had gained growing support from voters who said they were disillusioned with the mainstream parties in parliament.
