Cameron admits Norway no model for Britain in Europe

United Kingdom's prime minister David Cameron criticised on 28 October 2015 the alternative defended by many Eurosceptics in which the country should acquire the same type of relationship with the European Union as countries like Iceland and Norway.

Speaking in the parliament ahead of a visit to Iceland, Mr Cameron stated he would 'guide very strongly against' Britain getting the same sort of deal as Norway, as this country has no say in the EU's policy-making, still adopts most of its legislation and still has to contribute in exchange of access to the common market.
