Budgets MEPs back €1.8 million aid for redundant workers in Belgium

The European Parliament's budgets committee approved €1,824,041 in EU aid on 15 June 2016 to support the reintegration in the labour market of 488 workers made redundant by several manufacturers of construction machinery in Wallonia. A further 300 young unemployed people should also benefit.

The European Globalisation Adjustment Fund (EGF) aid was approved by the parliament's plenary session on 23 June.
