A further series of EU-UK Article 50 Negotiations took place between officials in Brussels on the 21-22 August 2018. On this occasion Secretary of State for Exiting the European Union Dominic Raab met EU Chief Negotiator Michel Barnier on the 21 August 2018.

A further series of EU-UK Article 50 Negotiations took place between officials in Brussels on the 29-30 August 2018. On this occasion Secretary of State for Exiting the European Union Dominic Raab also met EU Chief Negotiator Michel Barnier for substantive negotiations on the 31 August 2018.

During late July and August 2018 a number of UK Ministers had carried out a series of bilateral meetings with their counterparts in various EU Member States.
