Berlin’s next stimulus awaits Obama

German Chancellor Angela Merkel Merkel gathered with business leaders, leading politicians and economic experts on the 14 December 2008 to discuss the current global financial crisis, which has already led to a recession in Germany, and to start planning what further needed to be done. A second stimulus package was expected by the end of January 2008.
