EUObserver reported on 3 December 2013, that according to the Council of Europe, austerity measures imposed by international creditors on member states are eroding the social and economic rights of people. The Commissioner for Human Rights released a research paper on the impact of the economic crisis on the protection of human rights on 4 December 2013.
