EurActiv reported that United Kingdom Prime Minister David Cameron's ruling Conservative party was humiliated in a by-election in England on the 28 February 2013 after it was defeated by its scandal-ridden coalition partner (Liberal-Democrats) and pushed into third place by MEP Nigel Farage's anti-EU UKIP party.
