Alan Henning ‘killed by Islamic State’

A video purporting to show UK hostage Alan Henning being beheaded was released by Islamic State militants on the 3 October 2014.

United Kingdom Prime Minister David Cameron said 'The brutal murder of Alan Henning by ISIL shows just how barbaric and repulsive these terrorists are'.

British Muslim organisations united in denouncing the murder of Alan Henning. Prayers for Henning were said in mosques throughout Britain at the start of the Muslim Eid al-Adha festival. The Muslim Council of Britain released a statement calling the murder 'a despicable act, offensive to Muslims'.
