Agriculture and Fisheries Council, 10-11 November 2014

A meeting of the Agriculture and Fisheries Council took place on 10-11 November 2014, in Brussels. The conclusions included the following topics:

+ Political agreement on fishing opportunities for deepsea stocks for the period 2015-2016;

+ Exchange of views on the financing of the European agricultural guarantee fund (EAGF);

+ Discussion on measures to support young farmers;

+ Adoption of the regulation regarding the fishing opportunities in the Baltic Sea for 2015, following an agreement reached by the Council in October;

+ Endorsement of rules to facilitate damage claims by victims of antitrust violations;

+ Adoption of a regulation aimed at improving market transparency for retail investors.
