Adoption of the Parliament’s negotiating position on the regulation for wholesale roaming markets

The European Parliament's industry committee approved on 29 November 2016 its position on the draft proposal which aims to regulate the wholesale roaming markets.

Members of the committee agreed to cap the wholesale prices that telecoms operators charge each other for using their networks to carry cross-border roaming calls.

The rapporteur was given a mandate to negotiate with the Council of the European Union a compromise text.
