A lost file in the European Parliament allowed Ovidiu Silaghi, a Romanian MEP suspected of corruption, to leave the assembly without any inquiry.

Romanian prosecutors in December 2013 had asked EP president Martin Schulz to waiver the immunity of Mr. Silaghi, who left the Parliament after the European elections in May 2014.
