2016 Enlargement Package: Report on Albania

The European Commission published on 9 November 2016 its annual report on the progress achieved by Albania in the framework of its accession to the European Union.

The Commission recommends in this report that member states consider opening accession negotiations with Albania. This would be subject to credible and tangible progress in the implementation of the judicial reform adopted by the country's parliament.

The report was published as part of the European Commission's 2016 Enlargement Package.
